Refund policy
1. General Statement
Mirage Perfumes acknowledges that, in certain circumstances, a purchaser may seek to return goods purchased via our store. This Policy sets out the terms and conditions upon which Mirage Perfumes will accept returns and process refunds. This Policy operates in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory rights which may arise under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).
By placing an order with Mirage Perfumes, you agree to be bound by this Policy.
2. Eligibility for Return
2.1 Subject to clause 5 (Australian Consumer Law), Mirage Perfumes will only consider a request for return or refund if the following conditions are met:
a. The purchaser notifies Mirage Perfumes in writing via email within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of the goods.
b. The goods are returned in their original, unopened, and unused condition, with all seals intact and with original packaging and labels attached.
c. The goods remain in a condition which, in the reasonable opinion of Mirage Perfumes, permits resale.
d. Certain products are strictly excluded from return, including but not limited to:
Tester samples; and
Loose oils (including white label, blue label and black label oils).
2.2 For the avoidance of doubt, where a seal has been broken or packaging has been altered, Mirage Perfumes reserves the right to reject the return.
3. Process for Return
3.1 The purchaser must obtain prior written authorisation from Mirage Perfumes before returning any goods. Returns sent without such approval will not be accepted.
3.2 Upon receipt of an approved return, Mirage Perfumes will, at its sole discretion, issue a refund to the original method of payment. Mirage Perfumes does not process direct exchanges. Should the purchaser wish to obtain an alternative product, a separate transaction must be entered into.
3.3 The purchaser bears all risks associated with the transport of returned goods, including:
Proper packaging to prevent damage in transit;
Any damage sustained as a result of unsuitable packaging; and
Ensuring the use of a traceable and verifiable delivery method.
4. Non-Compliance with Procedure
4.1 Mirage Perfumes reserves the right to reject any return where:
The return is lodged outside the thirty (30) day period;
The goods are not in the required condition as described in clause 2; or
The purchaser has failed to follow the prescribed procedure in clause 3.
5. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
5.1 Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies a consumer may have under the ACL.
5.2 In the event that goods supplied by Mirage Perfumes are faulty, not of acceptable quality, or not fit for purpose within the meaning of the ACL, purchasers are entitled to a remedy (including refund, replacement, or repair, as applicable) in accordance with the ACL.
6. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
